Product Delivery Conditions
a. For Ingot
General Terms & Conditions for Sale of Ingots to Open Die Forging industry
1) We recommend a minimum reduction of 1.4 longitudinally. We guarantee U.T level of ASTM SA 388, 4mm FBH acceptance on forgings with this reduction. Any additional requirement of U.T. acceptance level be discussed separately before pacing order.
2) In case of Rejections
3) Weight variation of + 50 kg or + 0.5% weight (whichever is higher) shall be acceptable.
For Nickel Bearing grades (SAE 8620, EN24, EN36) and SS 410/ SS 420/SS 431, we insist for “Anti flaking “ of forgings , esp. heavy forgings of 6 ton and above. Customers may contact us for recommended Anti flaking sizes large forgings/ bars. We do not assume any responsibility for UT defects, if such anti flaking is not carried out.

General Terms & Conditions:-
1. Black Patches (un machined portions) if observed at some spots up to depth of 1 mm ( in size 130-200); 1.5mm (in size 205-400mm) & 2.5mm (in size 405-600mm) are acceptable.
2. No welding / repair will be done.
3. Standard lengths
Rolled Bar ; 3 mtrs to 6mtrs.
Forged Bar ; 2 mtrs to 6mtrs, With 10% shorts upto 1mtr
4. Recommended Machining on bars ;
As Forged Bars ; Minimum 5mm on tool point i.e. 10mm on diameter
Machined Bars ; Minimum 2.0 mm on toll point i.e. 4 mm on diameter
5. End Use Application
Customer are requested to indicate end use /application in their enquiry /orders.
6. MARKING
All bars will be hard punched & painted with job number/ heat no and grade.
“Stickers” will be pasted on bar ends(face) giving following details;
Mill name/ Customer name / Grade / Heat No / Job No / and bar weight.
7. Packing:
Domestic: Bars, rolled and forged will be supplied loose, without any packing.
Exports: Container Loads; bars; rolled and forged; will be loaded loose in containers. However the bars will be lashed and chocked in containers so that they are tied properly to avoid rolling over and damage to containers.
Export Loose (part load): would be packed as per instruction of customer. However packing costs will be extra.
